Dr Cathy Harvey

BVSc., Diplomate ACVP, Registered Veterinary Specialist – Anatomic Pathology

Cathy Harvey graduated from Massey University in 1987 with a BVSc., then worked in practice in Waikato for 3 years prior to undertaking a 5-year pathology residency at the University of Pennsylvania  in 1992.  In 1997 Cathy passed her American board examinations and became a Diplomate of the ACVP (anatomic pathology).  For the following two years she worked as a pathology fellow at the San Diego Zoo.

Since returning to New Zealand in 1999, Cathy has worked in veterinary diagnostic laboratories as an anatomic pathologist and became a Registered Specialist in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology in 2009.

Cathy has extensive experience in histopathology and post mortems, clinical pathology interpretations, cytology and  a special interest in wildlife pathology.
